What is Kybella®, and how does it work?

KYBELLA® contains deoxycholic acid, which is a man-made version of a natural substance your body uses to break down fat. When injected under the chin, it works by destroying fat cells in that area. Once those fat cells are gone, they can’t come back or store fat again. This means that once you get the look you want, you usually won’t need more treatments.

Is Kybella® permanent?

Yes, once the fat cells are destroyed, they are gone for good. However, maintaining a stable weight is important to prevent fat from accumulating in remaining cells.
